Overview

[BORRADOR v1 — pendiente de revisión] gov.es is a personal, unsolicited proposal for a design system for Spanish public administration services — an attempt to show what a shared, well-documented set of UI components and guidelines could look like across the many separate public service sites Spanish citizens use. Built and published on Zeroheight, the project was kept open to co-creation: a base other designers and public-sector teams could look at, question and build on, rather than a closed deliverable for a single client. The motivation was straightforward — Spain's public digital services are fragmented across many teams and departments, each solving similar interface problems independently. A shared design system is one practical way to make those services feel more consistent and easier to use.
